On August 25, 2018, we lost our dear friend and partner, Russell Leblang. Russell was a co-founder of our firm in 1994. Loyal clients, ranging from multinational banks to local entrepreneurs, were drawn to him by his ability to get to the nub of any matter quickly but thoughtfully, his understated approach and his integrity. But he was much more than a good lawyer. He was a valued friend and confidant, not only to his colleagues but to a seemingly limitless and diverse community outside the firm. He was charitable, devoting many hours each year to his favorite cause, Christmas in the City and through more private and creative acts of generosity that changed others’ lives locally. His clean living and athleticism were legendary among those who knew him and should have augured a much longer life than he had. Unfortunately, that is not how cancer works. He lived his abbreviated life to the fullest. We miss him.
